THE HEALTHY EATING STEEPLECHASE

An orange takes an early lead,

followed by a melon.

Garden peas are catching fast,

so too is the lemon.

Granny Smith’s are overtaking.

Lettuces are gaining.

Kiwi’s move from out the pack.

This is entertaining.

The orange takes the lead again,

now grapes are rolling clear.

Broccoli, asparagus

are getting very near.

We’re nearly at the finish,

and this is getting close.

Trees and soil are cheering

around the winning post.

Pears are in the mix as well.

This is a humdinger.

Yes, a photo finish,

and everyone’s a winner!

HOW DO OTHERS AVOID THE DENTIST?

Fairies brush with magic.

Santa with his love.

Mermaids brush in water.

Space friends from above.

Crabs love brushing ‘stomach’ teeth,

but only side to side.

A lion’s speciality

is opening up wide.

Summer’s brush with strawberries.

Winter’s brush with snow.

Autumn brushes with its leaves.

Spring with blossom glow.

Cheetah’s brush too quickly.

Snails take too much time.

Peacocks brush with colour.

I think clocks do with chimes.

Combs brush theirs with people's hair.

Pigs brush theirs with swill.

I bet that you use toothpaste.

I know I always will!

SKATING'S NOT FUN WHEN YOU LAND ON YOUR BUM

Skating’s not fun when you land on your bum.

The ice is so hard, and makes you feel pain.

The feeling’s as bad as a difficult sum.

Skating’s not fun when you land on your bum,

but I’m not a quitter, and won’t call my Mum,

despite falling over again and again.

Skating’s not fun when you land on your bum.

The ice is so hard, and makes you feel pain.

DON'T PLAY PRANKS ON PORCUPINES

Don’t play pranks on porcupines.

Don’t mock monkey’s moles.

Don’t shriek close to sand-sharks.

Don’t voice your fears near voles.

Don’t try to tease a tiger.

Don’t bellow at a bee.

Don’t glare and growl at guinea pigs.

Don’t frown around a flea.

Don’t bicker-boo at buffalo.

Don’t jester around a jay.

Be kind to every creature.

Each hour of each day.

KITES

Kites like

heights

and

flights like

heights.

But

Not yachts.

The sky’s

beyond

their

limit.

DISNEY DAYS

Warmer than a Sheep Dog hug

or soulfulness rolled in a rug,

dancing dizzy Dulux cheer

will never ever disappear..

Brighter than a scientist,

the artist’s palette shines and skips,

demonstrating West End ways,

free from Greenwich Mean Time days.

Talent dazzles, beaming light,

into the insides of our life.

Floating like a bubble thought,

playful pigment can’t be caught.
