THE SQUATTER

In the past

it was

Reader’s Digest Health manuals;

now

it’s the internet

defecating

in your brain.

 

The squatter

won’t vacate and

even if it does, it's

scarred with

‘Deathly messages’

graffiti scrawled

within the mind.

 

The more I forget,

the more it reminds me –

like

the loss of

friends

forever mourned.
